go to DOl website and peruse the different Job Classifications and then see if any job responsibility for a particualr job Code fall under Job Zone 5 - whcih may be close to the kind of duties u perform...and try to convince ur manager and then ur lawyer.

I hope it does some good to you and makes your PD current/closer so that you dont eat/sleep/drink VB. C mon man... There are other things you can do. Dont get offended by what I am saying. If your PD is closer, I can understand your excitement. But a lot of people are just killing time in forums by working their ass off on predictions and call it comic relief. I hope IV core members stop encouraging this kind of behavior.

there is nothing on the N-400 form that asks how you became a resident and how long you stayed at the job.
they will only ask you at the interview.
some of us are working under very abusive circumstances and i'm sure the interviewer will understand your reasons for leaving earlier.
i think the whole fraud/stay 6 months thing is just another ploy for some employers to keep using some of us for longer.

The main problem is that no one really knows for sure whether these steps are taken in sequence. There is little to no transparency. There are procedures, but we can not guarantee that they are followed.
To answer your second part. No, I don't believe there are any standard updates that indicate this, but I could be wrong. I think that there is an update if you clear it, but not if you are stuck in it. Make sense? Do I think they have enough resources to process them all? Absolutely not, but I doubt there will be a rush considering PDs won't be current for a while (esp eb3)

I am sure that they will be doing various background checks to make the application ready for approval. It is not mentioned any where that how the pre-approval process is different from background checks? Are they the same or different? What processes are done during approval? I do not have any idea and hence I would like to keep the various checks and approval process separate.
If you say 'pre-approval' is to complete all the checks required the case of approval, then why they issue a notification regarding a 'pre-approval' in visa bulletine?
I hope someone will provide some information regarding these clarifications.

There is definitely something missing here. You are either not saying the complete truth, OR your wife is not supporting you, OR you are suspecting that she will testify against you.
I agree with you, i think he is in deep s.... and the whole trying to type broken English thing is also fishy (in my opinion its on purpose)!
This guy has been in the country for more then 3 years (at least - based on his h1 being valid till 2011 which means recently extended)) on a work visa and cannot communicate a simple fact that they were fooling around and he didnt intend any harm (if that is the fact).... HE must be really really good at what he does at work for his company to keep him!
But to give the benefit of the doubt and innocent until proven guilty - I wish him luck!
I really hope i m wrong in judging you... and seriously I wish you all the best if you are being honest about the whole thing.

After receiving your I-485 USCIS conducts the following background Checks:
IBIS - Interagency Border Inspection System name check
FBI - FBI Fingerprint Check
FBI - FBI Name Check
IDENT - Automated Biometric Identification System
Other biometric checks - For some cases, USCIS itself conduct comparisons of photograph, finger prints and signatures stored in paper application with ISRS.
You have to clear all these checks (some of them has expiry as well) when your PD becomes current.
Till then keep renewing your EAD / AP. [I think this is the milking cow for USCIS :) ]

I am probably waiting for the longest here for EAD, my app received on July 2nd at NCS. Called numerous times, sent form 7001, emailed senators twice, 3 infopass appointments, still no progress. I submitted expedite request based on humanitarian grounds last week, have been calling daily to check status of expedite and still remains pending. My case now pending about 157 days. Anything more that I need to do ?

Ours was filed in NSC - July 2nd (hand delivered is what lawyers say.)
I had 1 question.
How long should we wait for receipt to be issued? I am concerned if USCIS misplaces package or something happens, we would miss window of opportunity to file.
Also since lawyers say its personally delivered, how do we track/keep proof that ur package was delivered?
Should we just go ahead and re-file if we dotn hear from CIS in 10 days?

Really a revolutionary idea. I like the idea of redrawing middle east map. It is over due now.
While talking about rederawing of boundarie, there is another interesting proposal doing the rounds in the global political discourses. This one is not a prediction, but a proposal to redraw the boundaries of the middle east. The idea was initially proposed by someone called Ralph Peters in the Armed Forces Journal in an article titled "Blood Borders" .
The core idea behind the proposal is that the state boundaries of middle east are unnatural, and it has given rise to artificial, nonviable and oppressive states. The only way to permanently solve the problems of islamic terrorism is to redraw the boundaries of the entire region.
The idea has been floating around on the Internet for a couple of years now. No wonder, the nationalities set to benefit from this proposal (Baluchis, Pakhtuns, Kurds, Shia Arabs etc) are enthusiastically rooting for it, while the ruling elites of the so called artificial states like Pakistan and Sunni Iraqis are adamantly against it. If not expunged, it will FOR SURE pop up immediately they punch your name in. You certainly can not lie there. You will be deported. If expunged, you still have chance BUT NOT to lie..If the form ask " If you have ever been arrested" say yes and as others suggested have all your documents ready from court but make sure you have all originals and notarized documents if required for all court orders pertaing to your case.

I highly doubt they pull up state criminal record at POE.
If its a federal crime, then i can believe that.
However, this shouldnot encourage you to be dishonest at POE's or visa interview.
